In September 2000 I attended The London Collage of Fashion for two years where I undertook an HND course in Beauty Therapy and Health Studies. The course incorporated classes in anatomy and physiology, dermatology, chemistry of oils and other related subjects such as exercise, fitness, aromatherapy and health. On completion of this course I proceed to work taking up employment as a beauty therapist at The Chelsea Harbour Club. There I gained invaluable experience and honed my skills with a discerning clientele.

In 2002 I attended The Central London School of Reflexology located in Covent Garden. I decided that branching out and widening my repertoire with this popular, alternative therapy, would be advantageous to the growth of my business. Reflexology is used in today’s stressful society for it’s healing and relaxing benefits and though it would be complimentary to the variety of treatments I provided.

In September 2003 I embarked on a course counselling and psychotherapy course at WPF Training collage in Kensington. This course gave me both a personal insight into the developmental stages of human life and a greater understanding of working with and listening to people. Following this I worked in a small beauty salon called ‘Violet Adair’, in Kensington Church Walk for a year where I enhanced and developed my skills as a beauty therapist and reflexologist.

In 2006 I became an independent therapist where I launched my own business based on the knowledge that local clients would benefit from a private, at-home service, performed by a personable, independent, fully qualified practitioner with a wide range of treatment skills. The core of my business has always been based on personal recommendation. In late 2006 I was head-hunted and endorsed by Daily Candy, a daily email guide on what’s cool and new in London. Two years following this in 2008, I won the Daily Candy Touch Therapist of the Year 2007 Award.

Over the past two years my business has flourished, I have a built and retained a loyal client base, which is growing. This award from Daily Candy recognises my success. Since then I have not looked back. My clients are happy and so am I!
